Dr. Nathan Chiroma

Academic Dean

Rev. Dr. Chiroma is a Senior Lecturer and an ordained minister. He holds a Ph.D. and an MTh in Practical Theology from the University of Stellenbosch; a M.Div., Nairobi International School of Theology (Now International Leadership University) and BA in Theology from ECWA Seminary, Igbaja. His research and publishing interests are in the areas of youth and spiritual formation, youth mentoring, youth studies and leadership development.

Prof. Peter Nyende

Adjunct Supervisor for Biblical Studies

Peter lives in Uganda and is a Professor in Ughanda Christian Universities Bishop Tucker School of Theology and Divinity. He has a PhD in New Testament Studies? and a Master of Theology in New Testament Studies, both from the University of Edinburgh. He also has an MA, Pastoral Theology (Ridley Hall, Cambridge), and a Higher Diploma in Theology from Carlile College, Nairobi and a BA in Biblical Studies from Daystar University, Nairobi. He has published dozens of articles in peer-reviewed journals and publications. His research and writings have been in the area of Christianity in Africa, Biblical Interpretation, Ethnic Studies, Ethnicity via Biblical Studies, Theological Education, Biblical Theology, Evangelism of Children and Anglican Theology.

Dr. Renee de Assis

Director of Religious Education

Renee de Assis is an instructor at Texas Woman’s University and lives in the US and Brazil. She earned a PhD in child development and early education and holds a Master of Divinity and Master of Social Work. She has served Episcopal and Methodist churches in the US and taught in Haiti, Israel, and Brazil. While a seminarian, Renee earned multiple awards for preaching and was a 2011 Prophetic Preachers National Selectee for the Beatitudes Society in the US. Renee is currently a post-doc fellow at the Universidade do Estado de Rio de Janeiro. Her research interests include prophetic imagination and religious education.

Dr. William Rudd

Director of Practical Theology

William lives in the USA and received his DMin from Grand Rapids Theological Seminary, Grand Rapids, MI, a DD (honorary) from Cedarville University, Cedarville, OH., a MDiv (magna cum laude) from Grace Theological Seminary, Winona Lake, IN., and Bachelor of Arts in Bible and Greek (summa cum laude), Bob Jones University , Greenville, South Carolina.

Matt lives in the USA and received a DMin, Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. MDiv, Professional Ministry, Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary. M.A.T, Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary. B.S. Bachelor of Science Religion (2009) (Summa cum laude), Liberty University, Lynchburg, Va.
